Our director Jane Townsley has recently delivered a second Operational Command Training to female officers from Kosovo Police, on behalf of the Organisation for Security Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). This training took place at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) and involved interactive learning through discussions, group and scenario based exercises. Some of the topics covered included: Time Management; Briefing, De-briefing and delivering feedback; The principles of Decision-making; Command & Control; Critical Incidents; The Role of Operational Commanders; Media Management and Community Engagement. The delegates learning being assessed using scenario based table-top exercises.

This training followed similar modules delivered between 2017 and 2018 which culminated in an historic memorandum of understanding on future collaboration between Kosovo Police and South Wales Police. Jane Townsley from Force International was present along with female officers from South Wales Police, at the formal signing of the memorandum Kosovo in December 2018.
