Despite the global challenges and numerous restrictions imposed by many countries, we have continued to find new clients, most recently the Canadian-Ukraine Police Development Project (CUPDP) with our CEO Jane Townsley contracted as the senior advisor for building the capacity of the Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement (UAWLE). The first phase of this work involved the completion of a baseline assessment, reporting on its findings and providing recommendations for strengthening of the association.

The next phase will consist of a number of workshops with UAWLE members to review, reflect and develop the UAWLE based on lessons learned from its first two years of existence. Ideally, these workshops would have been delivered in Ukraine, but as with our other work, we are having to adapt to the delivery of online sessions until it is once again safe to travel.

Jane was recently invited to participate in a UAWLE Saturday morning coffee discussion with association members from across Ukraine, these sessions provide a great opportunity for association members to hear female officers from other countries share their experiences in a relaxed format.

The ultimate aim is to support the strengthening of the structure and governance of the association, developing a strategic plan and addressing its long-term sustainability.
