Gender Responsive (Inclusive) Service Delivery – we will work with you (police, justice and security institutions) to improve the delivery of services to ensure the needs of women, men and marginalised groups are considered equally when developing strategy and policy, making decisions and delivering services. We will support you to ensure accountability and to provide efficient and effective responses to the needs of communities and key stakeholders.
Baseline Assessment and Gap Analysis – We will assess the current situation by exploring the differences in conditions, needs, representation, accessibility of resources and development, control of resources, decision making power between women and men, based on the gender roles assigned to them. We will identify gaps and report on the findings together with recommendations for solutions that are relevant to the prevailing context. We will work with you to identify an implementation strategy and measurable action plan to enable the implementation of a gender responsive (inclusive) approach to change.
Gender Mainstreaming – We will support you in ensuring your organisation is balanced and delivers its services in a professional, fair and equal way so that NO part of the community is disadvantaged, discriminated against or left out. Achieved by the systematic inclusion of specific positions, priorities and needs of women and men into all policies aimed at promoting equality and the modification of all general policies and measures.
Gender Planning and Capacity Building – We can provide advice and guidance for an active approach to planning that uses gender as the key variable and criteria, and that strives explicitly to include the gender dimension into policies/actions and infrastructure development, ensuring the meaningful participation of women and marginalised groups across all aspects of policing, justice, and security.
Transformational Culture Change – We will work with you to address gender bias and stereotypes, sexism and misogyny, support the identification of: negative masculinities and promoting positive masculinities, peer intervention, engaging men in culture change and enabling the meaningful participation of Women.
